What is a cookie and what is it used for?

A cookie is a small file that is sent to your browser and saved on your device when you visit a website like lightatmotion.com (“the site”).
Cookies allow the site to function efficiently and improve its performance. They also provide information to the site owner for statistical or advertising purposes, primarily to personalize your browsing experience by remembering your preferences (for example, remembering your language and currency settings, recognizing you on your next visit, etc.).

Which cookies do we use and for what purposes?

No personal data of users is intentionally acquired by the site.
We do not use profiling cookies to transmit personal information, nor are so-called persistent cookies of any kind, or user tracking systems, used.
The use of so-called session cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable safe and efficient exploration of the site.
The so-called session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other IT techniques that could potentially compromise the privacy of users' browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user.

Our site uses various types of cookies and similar technologies that may be used in whole or in part depending on the site's navigation area. Each of these technologies has a specific function, explained below:

Navigation Cookies: From your first visit, these cookies allow the site to function correctly and allow you to view content on your device by recognizing the language and market of the country from which you have chosen to connect. If you are a registered user, they will allow you to be recognized and access the services offered in the dedicated areas. Navigation cookies are technical cookies and are necessary for the site to function.

Functional Cookies: These cookies allow, based on your express request, to recognize you upon subsequent visits so that you do not have to enter your data each time (for example: "Remember me next time").
For example, if the site features an e-commerce site and you have added items to your cart and closed the session without completing the purchase or deleting them, these cookies allow you to continue shopping the next time you access the site (within a limited period) by finding the selected items.
Functional cookies are not essential to the functioning of the site, but they improve the quality and browsing experience.

Analytical Cookies: These cookies are used to process statistical analyses on user navigation on our site. Our site processes the results of these analyses anonymously and exclusively for statistical purposes only if the service provider uses the cookies in connection with the browser used or on other devices used to navigate the site. The site uses certain third-party services that, entirely independently, install their own cookies.

Social Network Cookies: These cookies are necessary to allow your social media account to interact with our site. For example, they allow you to express your appreciation and share it with your social media friends. Social media cookies are not necessary for navigation.
